.a three carat ruby is considered a rarity...., rubies are found as not so large rough crystals and are usually not so large after cutting, this unheated ruby drop from Mozambique is therefore an exceptional stone, with AIGS certificate dated 10.07.2023 (gem lab in Bangkok founded 1978), 13 x 8.62 x 2. 66 mm, color reddish pink, SI (small crystal inclusion), in halo style surrounded by full cut diamonds total approx. 0.43 ct, TW (fine white) / IF-VVS (flawless- very very small inclusions), worked in 950 platinum, approx. 21 x 11.5 x 6 mm, approx. 3.3 grams heavy, with platinum chain in 45 cm length (or the fashionable version with diamond chain in 750 white gold for an extra charge see picture), an investment jewelry for connoisseurs

About the ruby:
Undisputedly the most expensive colored gemstones in the world are untreated Burmese rubies, preferably in the color pigeon blood red (pure red with a slight blue tint), but due to the low occurrence, untreated Mozambique rubies are also very rare and expensive as investment gemstones.
In Latin, "rubens" stands for red, from which the name ruby originated.
Mineralogically the ruby belongs to the corundum with a Mos hardness of 9 (very hard, comes directly after the diamond) and a high light refraction of 1,76
